Recovery Coaches: Your Guide to Navigating Addiction Recovery

When people want to succeed – whether it’s in sports, business, relationships or life – they often get a helping hand from a coach. The same is true in addiction recovery.

Making the choice to go into drug rehab is never easy, even when there are compelling reasons to do so. Once in rehab, you may find yourself feeling uncertain or anxious about the prospect of life without drugs or alcohol. But sticking with rehab is essential because the longer you remain in treatment the better your chances of ultimately being able to maintain your sobriety.

That’s where recovery coaches come in. Recovery coaches are an extension of the clinical team at theaddictionplace.com. Considered the heart of the center, recovery coaches are:

.

our recovery coaches are certified for behavioral health and substance abuse or addiction

  • The main point of contact when you arrive in treatment
  • The front line for crisis intervention
  • Strategists for managing day-to-day challenges such as finding a sponsor and coping with cravings
  • Advocates who are available 24/7 to motivate and support you in the difficult early stages of recovery and continue to support you after treatment through our alumni program
  • Valuable resources for 12-step education, serving as a 12-step fellowship
  • Involved in various self-help support programs including Celebrate Recovery, Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous – some for over 25 years

Our recovery coaches have both personal and professional experience in substance abuse treatment and are either certified or soon-to-be certified addiction counselors. They have the unique ability to draw from personal experience to connect with you, empathize with your struggles and help guide you along your recovery journey.

When you feel like you don’t want to be in treatment, when cravings threaten your ability to stay sober, when you can’t imagine getting through the day without drinking or using, your recovery coach will be by your side to keep you focused on the ultimate goal: a fulfilling, drug-free life. Their commitment extends beyond their 9 to 5 job. They live recovery.

When I my family hosted an intervention with my recovery coach for my heroin and pain pill addiction I was hopeless. I found a new way of living by following a few spiritual principals and guidelines to redirect the way I was living and for that I am grateful. Thanks Guys!
